  • Is there a place to leave the luggage? Yes, there is a coat check on Sunday evening and Wednesday
  • Can I have access to Internet? Yes, there is a wifi connection: network name is ECCB (no password). In addition, you can use the computers of the NetCenter (Main floor, right of ERASME auditorium).
  • Can I print something? more generally (copy, print, fax, scan, get office supplies, ship packages, etc.)?¬†No, but there is a shop CopyPrint at 55 Zurich street (+33 3 88 36 74 16) open Monday 14:00-18:00, Tuesday 8:30-16:30, Wednesday 8:30-12:00 and 14:00-18:00
  • Is there free water somewhere? Yes, there are 2 locations in the PMC with water fountains.
  • Where are the toilets? Check on the web site at http://www.eccb14.org/images/PMC_inside_map.pdf
  • Where are the coffee breaks? On the main floor of the PMC.
  • Where are the lunches? On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, a 3 courses meal will be served in the CONTADE room.¬†If you have specific food requirements (vegetarian etc.), please put your green ticket clearly on the table so that you are served the appropriate meal.
  • What are the electrical plugs here? Where can I get an adaptor? Not in the PMC. You can go to the FNAC or Apple Store in the city centre (place Kleber)
  • What is the currency here? Where can I make some change? Where can I get cash (ATM)? The currency is Euro. The most commonly accepted credit cards in local hotels, restaurants and shops include Visa and MasterCard. The closest ATM to the PMC is at Wacken tram stop (hall 20), however, due to a large event at the same time (foire europeenne), this ATM will probably be extremely busy. Please enquire at your hotel for local ATM.
  • What is the official Twitter hashtag of the conference? #eccb14
  • What should I do in case of property loss at the conference venue? If you find something, please bring it to the information desk. If you have lost something, please come and ask at the information desk.
  • Is there first aid anywhere in case of emergency? For emergency, call + 33 3 88 376790 (security team of the PMC)
  • I lost my badge / forgot my badge at the hotel, what should I do? You need to get it back.
  • I did not get a version of the program book? There is a printed program book in the bag including schedule, general information, poster list, abstracts.   • Can I leave a general / specific message somewhere? A message board is located at the information desk.
  • Can I post a job announcement somewhere? There is a job board at the ISCB Student Council booth (number 6). You can also sign up for interviews on site.
  • When/Where is the free transportation ticket available? From Sun 7th to Wed 10th for Strasbourg public Bus and Tram.

Social events

  • How do I get to the social event on Tuesday evening?¬†Check on the sit web at http://www.eccb14.org/practical-info/social-events-practical-information
  • Can I bring someone else to the social event on Tuesday evening?¬†No if this person is not registered as an accompanying person.
  • How do I know if I go to the Council of Europe (gala evening1) or to the Ancienne Douane (gala evening2)?¬†In the conference bag, each participant will receive a ticket assigning the participant to the gala evening 1 OR 2.
  • Can I take the boat trip if I am going to the Ancienne Douane (gala evening2)? ¬†No.
  • Can I take the mini train if I am going to the Council of Europe (gala evening1)? No.
  • When and where do the boats leave?¬†Check on the web site web at http://www.eccb14.org/practical-info/social-events-practical-information.¬†Each participant is assigned to one specific named boat, thus to a specific departure time. Participant must be at piers 10 min before departure time.
  • How can I get back to the conference center after the social event (gala) on Tuesday?¬†By public transport, they run until 00:30, or by walking.
  • Can I exchange my ticket at the Council of Europe to go to the Ancienne Douane (or the opposite)? No. (for really exceptional reason, this must be asked at the information desk, particularly with either Anne Ney, Luc Moulinier or Marie-Dominique Devignes).

Posters

  • Will the conference organizers provide supplies to put up posters? Yes, we will provide basic supplies in the conference bag. Some more will be provided on demand in the information desk.
  • Where should I hang my poster? Each poster board will have a sticker with the number of the poster he is supposed to host. A map of poster location is available at http://www.eccb14.org/images/poster_locations.pdf
